About this Map

This Bunchgrass Map uses the Google Maps API to map good spots to find bunchgrass examples around San Francisco. All the grass prairie spots are handpicked and most points on the map are accurate to within about 4 feet of specific plant examples.

Ways to use the Bunchgrass Map:
Click on the grass names on the right and the map will recenter to that grass example's location. In the info window that pops up you'll find a photo of that exact location and a fairly good description of how to find the spot on foot. After you've clicked on a plant entry you can then keep clicking on the plus sign in the top left corner to zoom in more to that location.

You can also double-click anywhere on the map to recenter. And you can use the arrows in the top left to move the map around too.

Clicking on "Map" in the map's top right corner removes the satellite view and just gives you a map of the city streets.

Click on any pink marker on the map to find out what grass is there.
