Mt. St. Helens is Rumbling
Swarms of temblors around Mt. St. Helens have prompted officials to close the mountain above 4,800 feet. Cynthia Gardner, the acting scientist in charge at the Cascades Volcano Observatory descibed these small quakes as a signature that was very similar to the signature that we saw back in the days when the dome was building.
